OBJECTIVE

The VIII International Symposium and Exhibition on Electromagnetic Compatibility and Electromagnetic Ecology will offer a new opportunity for scientists, engineers and students working in the area of EMC to present the progress in their work and to discuss problems of current mutual interest.

VENUE

The Symposium traditionally takes place at St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical University "LETI" and this time it will be devoted to the Professor Alexander S. Popov's 150th anniversary who was the first elected director of the University and a prominent scientist. The IEEE Historical Center has noted in the Milestone “ On 7 May 1895, A.S. Popov demonstrated the possibility of transmitting and receiving short, continuous signals by means of electromagnetic waves … which was a significant contribution to the development of wireless communication ”. The Symposium will be held in June in the fine period of the White Nights. This is a pleasant time to get acquainted with the architecture and museums of the city (the Hermitage, the Russian Museum and others), for walks around the city and for visiting famous palaces (Peterhof, Pushkin).
